Being Afraid and Doing It Anyway … Start Here

Welcome to the Intrepid Mompreneur: a source of inspiration to the one within you who is scared to death and doing it anyway.

This blog is about how one woman raises two kids, builds multiple businesses, publishes a bestseller, becomes a household name, and moves into her dream house, all while paying child support and alimony to her ex-husband.

I’ll show you the good, the bad, and the ugly.  Come back for a read anytime you are starting to doubt whether you can have it all.  If I can, you can too.

You can start by clicking any of the links in this post (some of my favorites), just reading chronologically or using the categories along the sidebar to the right.  Whichever you choose, be sure to subscribe in the upper right corner so you don’t miss anything.

And, if you want more, subscribe to my free Family Wealth Secrets online magazine and I’ll send you a new article every week that will help you to make smarter financial and legal decisions now and leave the world a better place later.

Last … if you’re a mom or dad and you haven’t yet named legal guardians for your kids (or have and wonder if you’ve made any mistakes), go name guardians on this free website right now.  It’s free.  It’s easy.  There’s no more excuses!

    Hi Alexis,
Right on! I always tell my kids that being brave doesn’t mean that you’re not afraid of doing something. Being brave means that you do it, despite your fear.
I just found your blog…I’m excited to start reading! I, too, am a mother (of three little ones) and entrepreneur (just sold one company and now have a new blog for mom entrepreneurs).
Keep up the great work! Best!

Oh my gosh. I was just on Martha Beck’s blog. Followed you here. Seriously, I wrote about my fear today too. http://www.blogfabulous.com/immersion-therapy-fear/

Being afraid and doing it anyway is totally my motto.

    Hi Alexis,

We are interested in reviewing your book. It sounds like a fabulous and easy to read essential resource for responsible parents, and something that our readers would really connect with.

Please email me back and we can get things set up:).

The great thing about fear is that you know exactly what you should be doing. You should be doing what makes you scared because that means you’re going to live life on the fringes.
