My Next Book: The Road to Freedom

Ok, I’m throwing down the gauntlet by announcing it here. No more pussy-footing around, thinking about it, changing my mind, wondering what to do … I’m announcing my next book.

To you, here.

Well, not exactly my next book.

I’m about to sign a contract with the American Bar Association for my next book. It’ll be out in Jan. 2011 and is about the new paradigm of law business. Very excited!

But, the one after that … the one that is going to knock down the old constructs, patterns and conditioning (not just for lawyers, but for all of us) and usher in a new way of being.  Not just in business, but in life and relationships and parenting and all of it.

I know I am here to lead a major shift in perception. I’m called as a shepherd of the new paradigm.

Telling you that makes my heart pound, my neck tighten and my stomach very queasy.

Who am I to speak these words?  To claim that?  Especially, on the eve of Easter.

And yet, who am I not to?   How could I possibly deny this call?

We each have a part in this shepherding. The paradigm shift happens one person at a time. One thought at a time. One awareness at a time.

And the only way mass change will happen is if we each change ourselves, one. at. a. time.

So, I’m throwing down the gauntlet and taking a stand.  A stand for freedom.

If you are coming with me, let me hear a hell yeah down there in the comments.  If you have no idea what I’m talking about, let me know that too.  Because open, direct, honest communication with compassion, love and respect is most definitely part of the path.

    More… details… asap… please! 🙂

That's awesome and I'm sure you're going to make an amazing contribution to the world – all of us – with this book! And you walk your talk, which is why you're such a perfect person to write a book about freedom.

    Awesome!

    “hell yeah”..?

Stand for Truth above all things and you will at last know freedom. Books and contracts will never set any of us free. I respect your boldness, but to lead the revolution of oneself, requires a very quiet, solitary voyage into the inner spaces. IT is only there, from the trial of your own life, that you will find the stand from which to take.

    Namaste, Alexis Martin Neely.

Congratulations on the ABA book deal Alexis! That's wonderful news. And, don't put too much pressure on yourself for the one after that – just be yourself and write what you know. If you try to make it a masterpiece, you'll never get it done. (Trust me, I'm struggling with that on The Secrets of Creative Business…).

Again, Congrats. Can't wait to hear more.

    Alexis –
I hear and see you in your intention.
It seems I'm in a certain alchemical process that keeps bringing authors into my awareness & conversations.

Last June I set out to write a book I know I'm called to write as an offering. I had a crazy idea that I would write quickly too, but soul's timing and the natural order of new creation showed me my timing was not aligned with the bigger picture. I wrote, and wrote, and grew and changed.

After a few months I realized that the book I set out to write was not one I was yet capable of. I placed it on a shelf and grieved the losses my ego suffered, and mourned that the message I feel called to share is not finding voice – just yet.

All the while, following intuition, synchronicity, divine guidance or my Soul's Purpose… a book formed. Not the one I intended to write last summer, but the one that could be written. I finished it in March. I am clear this is the best I'm capable of in this moment. It's an amazing place to be.

In fact, I entered a competition to become the Next Top Spiritual Author. (I welcome votes http://budurl.com/topauthor). I'm also using my radio show as a platform to feature 50 or more of the authors who are in the competition – in the spirit of “more life to all.”

I honor your gauntlet throwing, and the true timing of your unfolding.

    Blessings
    Tambra

    Alexis —

You're coming in loud and clear.

I'm ready to do my part.

    We will make it happen.

Hell yes! Love how you share your reality of the simultaneous joy and trepidation that accompanies stretching the comfort zone as well as your focus on the big picture. Makes it oh-so real and even more powerful than simply sharing the news. Excited for you – enjoy the stretching and the new view coming up on the horizon.
